Inspiration for this quilt was The North Rose Window in Notre Dame cathedral in Paris. The aim was to capture the colour and design of the magnificent cathedral window.

Fossiles 110cm x 102 cm (43in x 40in)

This quilt was started in a workshop in 1997 and completed in 1998. It is a different interpretation of a traditional log cabin technique.

Australia - A Continent of Contrasts started in a workshop in 1997 and completed in 1998. Machine pieced and quilted.

Noshi In my quilt we glimpse the end of the Noshi ribbons which fly away over a quiet Japanese scene of cherry blossoms and butterflies of springtime, the old arched wooden bridge and tall pine trees. In Japan's past, people pounded pieces of dried abalone into long ribbons and tied them together to make a suitable offering for the gods. In time the offering became a symbol of good fortune and strips of abalone were wrapped in beautiful folded pieces of paper and were attached to gifts on auspicious occasions.
